This workshop is part of the “Product Design” module. Here, graphic or product designers will introduce you to the possibilities of design and accompany you in developing a product or design idea. Some of the designs are then realized: They can then be played as audio pieces at Museum Brandhorst on the “tonie” boxes provided by tonies®!

The “Museum Buddy” is a project of the Udo and Anette Brandhorst Foundation and is funded by the Bavarian Cultural Fund.

The “Museum Buddy” is a very special companion for children aged 4 and over at Museum Brandhorst. It takes children on a scavenger hunt through the museum, illustrates works of art with sound, and tells art secrets and stories!

The special thing about it is that we design both the audio pieces and the technical experience of the “Museum Buddy” co-creatively, i.e. together with children, young people and adults. All this is made possible by a cooperation with tonies® and funding from the Bavarian Cultural Fund.

From March 2025, every family, group and class will be able to use the “Museum Buddy” free of charge by borrowing a “tonie” box or building their own device at Museum Brandhorst.
