Description

GRAFFITI

A baby, a dog or just a few simple strokes: Many of Keith Haring’s drawings consist of just a few thick, black lines. Did you know that Keith Haring also drew on open spaces in subway stations? He wanted as many people as possible to see the drawings. Sometimes we also see pictures, drawings or text painted, sprayed or scribbled on the walls of buildings in Munich. That’s graffiti.

What is actually behind graffiti? It tells us a story about the city and its inhabitants. It expresses feelings, conveys important messages and brings our surroundings to life. It is urban and can be seen by many people.

In the workshop, you can develop your own lettering or figures. We will be inspired by the graffiti scene in New York in the 1980s and Haring’s style.

The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area of the Factory space (lower level) and is run by the graffiti artist Oliver Wogra.
